After ten years or so, Zhang decides to go back to Great Master Mu Luoxu to beg to return to Tianzhai, the name of where Mu Luoxu and his friends cum companions stay now. Jilou, a student at Tianzhai, who is also the betrayal, talked the great master into accepting Zhang. Mu Luoxu finally agreed, much 2 the shock of his companions. Jilou later tells Zhang that he helped him not because he wanted 2 be friends with him, but because he wants everyone 2 forgive him. One day Zhang and Princess Shanhua were out together when Shanhua got bitten by a snake. At first Zhang did not believe her because the princess always played tricks on him, but he soon knows that it was for real. He takes out the poison using his mouth and succeeded, but soon fainted along with Shanhua. Later, Jilou finds them, but takes away only the princess, leaving Zhang behind. Jilou then hated Zhang, as he soon knows he's got a rival. Jilou used underhand means 2 frame Zhang, which the princess hated him for that. Once the princess, though still hating Jilou, but agreed to frame Zhang because it involves loyalty to Silla. Fortunately, Mu Luoxu lets Zhang escape, where the princess has a horse carriage near Tianzhai as she wanted to elope with him. But Jilou finds out soon after when Shanhua abandoned her slave, who told Jilou and his father, Jin Siqin the truth. Jilou is furious and sends out a troop of soldiers 2 find them. However, the two managed to escape and lead a commoner's life, but not 4 long. Jilou, being Jilou, still managed to find them. The princess ordered the soldiers not to move 2 let Zhang escape to Baekje until she lets them go. She threatened to commit suicide if any of them disobeyed her. Jilou removes the knife from her hands and immediately some soldiers went to pursue Zhang. Jilou held the princess back so she could not escape.
