Finally going home~
Went to play Paintball in the morning cos it was free!
Hasif and Ivan's room (at least, I think it's their room) were locked and their cards couldn't open, so they ended up standing outside their room for 1+ hour.
As a way of saying sorry, the hotel let us play Paintball for free (:
And by the way, 1 game of Paintball is expensive.
So I got a bruise that is still kinda there...
Okay, 2 bruises.

But I take it as a memento of our trip + Paintball game (:
Heh, I'm that optimistic :D

So after the trip, I didn't really do anything... until Sunday.

Had my first choir concert (:
(Yes, you saw right. I was in a choir. Unbelievable? Believe it. :D)
It was kinda awesome.I use kinda because well, it would have been better if:
1) We didn't have to pay for the concert tickets (the ones who got conned into doing, I mean).
2) We didn't have to miss part of the concert.
I really really wanted to watch the guitar ensemble :(
3) It was more organised.We didn't know where to go or what to do.
Aka COMPLETELY LOST.
4) It wasn't on that day. I WANTED TO WATCH MNET AWARDS SHOW :(
But anyway.
We sang a medley of songs from West Side Story.
Not quite sure the names since they never told us.
But here's some details.
First song: solo tenor (guy obviously) singing a song about Maria. (In fact, I think the song name IS Maria.)
Second song: whole choir. We made a lot of things. Haha. ("Make of our hands, one hand...")Third song: whole choir. Somehow, someday, somewhere... :D
But I did have fun.
Maybe I'll take part next year, but don't buy the ticks... Too ex liao lah ><
There were quite a few performances, but I only remembered some.
Like, the violin one... (With the solo violin.)
There was a nice piano song as well.
And I liked the electric violin playing Bad Romance as well.
Not too bad of a night (:

Well, I met 2AM for the first time.
And met them quite a few times on the day as well.
Haha.
For those who don't know, 2AM is a South Korean boy band consisting of 4 members:
Jinwoon, Jokwon, Changmin and Seulong.
They mostly sing ballads, but they sing all genres of songs so long as the lyrics have meaning.
The type of band I like (:
And btw, Seulong acts in the hit kdrama Personal Taste.
He's one of the employees in Lee Min Ho's character's company (the younger one obviously), and who has a crush on a girl who has a crush on Lee Min Ho's character.
So, he's my bias :D
Anyway.
Here's a little background on how I got to meet 2AM.
So, for those who (still) don't know, I got an iPhone (:
Yes, the 4th series.
And I took the iFlexi 3G plan (the name's something like that).
Because I signed up with SingTel, I got to use a special feature of theirs: SingTel AMPed.
It's a service that allows users to download unlimited songs with no data cost.
For free.
(And since SingTel's offering it, it obviously is legal.)
Besides that, AMPed also offers lucky draws from time to time.
One lucky draw (okay, the ONLY) I took part in was to win tickets to the MNET Ultimate Live concert in SG on 4 Dec.
Other prizes include meeting 2AM.
In order to take part, I just needed to download minimum 3 songs from BEAST and 2AM each.
At that point of time, I had 9 songs of BEAST and 3 songs of 2AM.
Compared to those who downloaded the entire album, I must say I'm lucky.
So yeah.
When I was shopping around in Orchard on Wednesday, 1 December 2010, I received a call from SingTel.
Here's the conversation.
Me: Hello?
SingTel: Hi, is this Cally Tan?
Me (Wondering who the heck it was): Uh, yes.
SingTel: Hi, this is SingTel. *blah blah*
Me (WAIT, WHAT? SingTel? I didn't pay my bills is it? DADDY! Oh wait, I should listen to what they're saying.)
SingTel: ... You're one of 10 winners to go to 2AM's press conference in Singapore. Are you free tomorrow at noon?
Me (WHAAAAT?! I WON?! Wait, how did I even win? ... Oh ya, SingTel AMPed. Forgot about it.) : Uh, sure, I'm free!
SingTel: Okay, so we'll send you a confirmation message later. Please note that you have to be at Marina Bay Sands at 11:15am.
Me: Uh, okay. Sure, bye. (What's with the uhs...)
SingTel: Bye.
Me (thinking): Okay, that must be one of the most calm calls the guy did. Bet some girls are screaming their heads off. LOL. And why am I so calm? O.o
Hahaha.
So I waited... and waited... and waited.
And got a bit worried when they didn't send the message 15 mins later.
LOL.
Too anxious liao.
Then I was like, okay I need to go to the toilet.
So I went... and came out.And checked my phone.
And screamed internally.
Oh shit, I missed their call!!!
(And I was to find out later that I might have been 1 of the 4 winners to the MNET Ultimate Live tickets... JEEZ! JUST BECAUSE I WAS IN THE TOILET AT THE WRONG TIMING!)
So I called back...
And didn't get through. -.-"
So I was like, okay nvm...
(If only I knew.)
Then I checked my phone like, half an hour later...
And the message came. (:
Whee~Okay, so NOW's the actual day. (Man, I crap too much.)
I really reached there at 11:15am.
But couldn't find the person-in-charge because he was late. -.-"
HOW EPIC.
Then I got to meet some of the other winners as well...
Audrey and Sharon are INCREDIBLY tall. :O
But they're nice people.
Actually, all of them are.
In fact, at the end of the day we were all like friends haha.
Anyway.
So we met and went up to the press conference room.
And we got the last row -.-"
Haiz.
Envied the reporters and VIPs.
But oh well.
At least we saw them up close!

And they sang a few lines of one of their songs a capella! (I think it's Like Crazy.)

(No pictures or videos cos we were not allowed to take. WTH lah, who cares man?! But we really didn't get to take. Grr.)
After the press conference, we loitered around and had lunch and stuff.
(Oh yeah, and I found out Kim Hyun Joong had his press conference in the room opposite 2AM's, separated by a corridor. WTH! If I knew earlier I would have gone earlier -.-")
So around late afternoon we took pictures with 2AM.
Yep.
Not just us of course, but a whole bunch of people were there.
Lucky we were separated into our groups (we were called the AMPed group, LOL. But at least better than the Wanbao group right! HAHA~).
Aww, I didn't get to stand next or near Seulong :(
I was squatting/kneeling (can't remember cos I was in a state of idol closeness overdose LOL) in front of Jokwon.
But anyway!
I was in the photo :D
Now, just waiting for SingTel to send us the photos...
Then after that, me, Stephanie (one of the girls) and another girl... Can't remember her name >< took a cab to IMM where the autograph session was held at.
BTW, saw a Wei Xiang-lookalike... :O
Anyway!
The fans went crazy at seeing them, the screams were so loud...(
And 2AM was wearing the same clothes. Wearing for one whole day...)
And they sang Like Crazy live!

As in, for the reporters. Again.
Then I saw that I could be seen in one of the photos...
And I was like OMG cos I didn't pose.
(They requested us to do some posing. But I thought the camera couldn't see so I didn't bother. ARGH.)
(LOL now I checking out the AMPed website... And saw my name on the winners list. LOL.)Then after that it was FINALLY the autograph session!
(BTW, I didn't buy the album, and I realised they only signed albums... So I told this to the person-in-charge, and he was like okay I'll get you one. So I got one. For free. :D And while it contained a silver ticket, it was good cos we got the priority queue (confirmed autographs, and even before the golden ticket holders), and got the premiums (file folder and poster) as well... :DDDD)
At first we were supposed to open the album for them to sign, and one of the winners was like I hope they don't sign on the face.
Another winner said, no lah why would they want to block their own faces LOL.
But then somehow somebody changed their mind... And Seulong closed the album for me.
Whee!!!~~
If I had been just one person back, that would suck cos the person behind me had her album closed by the assistants around... roughly. Damaged the lyrics booklet. Well, aren't I lucky.
And then...
Me: Annyeong haseyo oppa! Saranghaeyo~ (I stuttered at the saranghaeyo, so I wasn't sure if he heard me correctly. And this is weird, because wasn't I supposed to stutter at the first word instead? O.o)
Seulong (obviously! Who else who it be?) : (smiles) Thanks! (in English, no less.)Wheee~~~~~
And I said annyeong haseyo to the rest of the group as well (but no saranghaeyo).
And then...
Me: OMGOMGOMG. *in total overwhelmed mode*

However I heard T.O.P's performing in Hawaii today, so I don't think he's coming with the rest of them.
Unless they all come from Hawaii.

However, BB's going the CIP (VIP) route, which means fans can't see them in the arrival hall :(

Went to Raffles Town Club (:
And I actually swam for 2 hours!
Haven't swum in like a few years...
Can't remember when the last time was.
Anyway.
Saw this rather cute guy at the pool... (Haha, and I know this sounds so cliche.)
But I'm not that good a swimmer...
And he's a darn good one.
So I was pretty paiseh...
Since there weren't much people around, it was even worse...
And he was with 2 girls -.-"
Oh well.
After the swim of course I went bathing.
The toilet's so cold.
Who the heck puts aircon in toilets where people bath?!
Usually it's fine, but it's a whole other thing when it comes to bathing.
Ahhhh, so cooooold.
Thank goodness there was water heater.
Or I would have frozen to death.
Now I see the point of putting a sauna in the toilet.
(Yup, a sauna in the toilet. You saw right.)
Really regret not sauna-ing.
Ahhhh.
I changed into a dress (yep.) with a jacket... courtesy of my mum.
And no, there's no photo.
I was a little worried that the dress would be too short (I think it was halfway up my upper thighs) for the club.
But thank goodness, it wasn't.
Although the club was cooold too.
So I was like an ice block yesterday...
I usually ain't that cold.
Went to grab a bite at the Cafe since dinner hadn't officially started...
And the meal, consisting of a sandwich and coffee (my dad, not me), cost like $12.
That's one 'bite'.
So you can imagine how much the dinner cost...
After the bite, I went to the arcade (yep, they have arcade) with my dad.
Played games such as:
- Those kind of games where you press the buttons when the note reaches the line.
- Para Para Dance. (Yup, a game I wouldn't normally play but since nobody was there...)
- Puzzle Bobble. (I'm such a youth.)
- Photo Hunt. (All-time favourite.)
- Time Crisis 4. (Surprise, surprise, I do play violent games.)
- Daytona and Initial D. (I love racing games. Another surprise.)
Hahaha.
Dinner-ed at about 7.
Went to the Miyabi Japanese Restaurant. (Yup, it's in the club.)
I ordered this set with sashimi and teppanyaki~~
Omigod, I LOVE salmon sashimi~
The steamed egg (chawanmushi) was awesome. (You rarely eat steamed eggs with prawns in them, do you?)
The scallops were so nice.
I love scallops too.
Oh yeah, there were cooked salmon as well.
I love both raw and cooked salmon, because both are equally amazing!
My dad ordered udon while my mum went for a set like me, although hers were the seafood set I think.
All were ah-mazing.
Thus the price...
A whopping $87.
I sure know how to live my life.
But it was an awesome meal.
Definitely one of the best Japanese food I've ever eaten.
We left after our meal... no idea what time.
8+pm?
Although it was a shame I couldn't go bowling...
They have bowling (what you call that? Areas? Courts?) in the club too.
Even ACS(I) had a bowling tournament there.
Rich lah.
Although thinking about it, wouldn't it be awesome if our Sec4 Graduating Ball was held at the ballroom there?
It sure would~~

Back to school once again.
To be honest, I DIDN'T want to go back.
I knew some people wanted to.
But...
I wasn't done doing everything I wanted to do (despite completing my to-do list).
And I knew going back to school would reduce the amount of time I have to do these things.
Oh wells.
Today is a SHITTY day.
First I found out I was chosen to take part in an international survey.
Translation: Taking 2 tests, 1 maths 1 science, immediately after assembly.
What a way to start post-exam activities.
Science: A few difficult ones, not quite confident about it.
Maths: Freaking easy. WTH.
Then we had to do a questionnaire.
I didn't really see the point in some of the questions.
Why would they want to know what gender I am and which month I was born in??
And whether I have a PlayStation?
Although I feel that I'm a pretty privileged kid...
Ticked almost everything in that list.
Here's what I remember from the what-do-you-have list.
- Computer
- Internet access
- Own room (why do they care??)
- Own study table.
- Own books. (Why do they care???)
- Own handphone.
- Own entertainment device, eg. music/dvd player, ipod.
- Own gaming device, eg. PlayStation, Nintendo.
- Maid.
I ticked all of the above... except maid.
That's why I feel that I'm lucky.
After the questionnaire, we went for a rushed 15-minute recess.
WTH, make us do the tests, then give us such a short recess.
No extensions. -.-"
And guess what was after the tests?
ANOTHER maths test.
WTH!!!!
What kind of post-activities is this man?!
(Oh yeah, for those who did not go for the tests, since only selected people needed to go, they went out to interview people and wrote transcript, and they could slack. IN THE COM LAB.)
The maths test had 33 questions, 2 hours, and no calculator. At all.
Said it was for a research, and selected Anderson because we are so-called a good school.
*laughs*
Lots of people didn't finish the paper, and anyhow did the paper.
I mean, it's after our exams...
Who is in the mood to do more tests?!
I gave up like 1.5 hours after we first started.
Quite late already, but whatever.
Sigh...
Other people were learning how to rollerblade while we were doing tests.
Not fair.
Today has been a test day for me.
Ahhhhhhh.
Grrrrrrr.
Attended briefing for cip this sat.
Sianz.
What a sucky cip.
Why does our school come up with such kinds of cip?
This sat: Educate Punggol South residents on the demerits of littering and promote Clean and Green week.
I am not kidding.
And it's DOOR-TO-DOOR.
Oh, joy.
One of the worst post-activities I've ever had.
On the bright side: 7 days more to holiday!

Movie again :D

I'm a lucky girl (I think).
Went to watch movie again.
Haha.
Just the next day after 1 movie...
This time's the Detective Dee movie.
Not bad, not bad!
And here's my review!
Title: Detective Dee and the mystery of the Phantom Flame
Cast: (I realise I always forget to put this. Alright, I'm putting now.) Andy Lau, Li Bingbing, Carina Lau, Deng Chao and Tony Leung.
(A stellar cast, huh!)
Rating: 4.5 stars
Plot was good, movie was mostly good.
If some of the action scenes could be slow-mo I think the effect would be nice.
And there're some parts I don't really get it (too cheem for me ><).
But overall very nice.
Definitely recommending it for the general public (unless you don't like martial arts/historical movies).
Especially recommending it for Miao Ling and Nicole. :D

Deng Chao really left an impression on me with his appearance in the movie.
I mean, a guy with a complexion similar to Edward and white hair?
You kidding me? Of course I'll remember him. LOL.

Went to watch Bestseller with DM, QP and Char today :D
Long time nvr go out with them alr...
Missed them :(
Met DM and QP at the 623 bus stop at around 12.35...
Then took 74 to AMK Hub.
Needed to go Bishan by MRT cos Cathay doesn't have the movie.
Think GV exclusive rights?
But like not much ppl leh...
Around 3/4 of the cinema.
And it's a small one, not your usual 3 sections seats.
At least we got good seats :D
So here's my usual review!
Bestseller - 4 stars
Plot was okay, I personally liked the writer plagiarism thingy.
But the whole daughter thing seemed overly common.
Haiz.
According to Cathay webbie, the movie is horror/thriller.
But I don't think there's much horror in it.
More of gruesome images.
So if ya hoping for a good horror scare, I think Child's Eye is a better bet.
But blood and gore... Definitely satisfy those who seek this kind of movie.
DM even commented that the violence should be NC16 lol.
Well, Idc.
Some images definitely disturbing, I can still recall now.
Esp the last part.
Hahas.
So, only recommending to those who like a story-like movie (good twist in the end) and violence, esp blood and gore.
Horror, go watch Child's Eye, should be more horror-some.
Movie def could be better.
The first part was somewhat redundant, could have simplified.
That 2h long movie was only nice at the 2nd hour.
As in, really getting into its genres.
So yeahh.
After the movie we went shop shop.
DM wanted to look at kpop stuff (esp SHINee) while QP was looking for a black dress for cosplay.
I also wanna cosplay. XD

Wednesday, 13 October 2010, last day of SA2s
Had my higher chinese paper today.
A bit difficult.
I didn't really understand some of the cheem words in the last passage.

Hope I do okay for the paper!
After the paper, me, Nicole, Weiyi, Juliet, Miaoling and Janis went to AMK Mac for brunch~~~
Or was it lunch? We took quite a long time in getting there...
I heartzxc filet-o-fish! LOL.
Anyway.
We gossiped a lot during the meal.
Partly because of Janis' presence.
Lol.
After that we went to Nicole's house by train.
I didn't know it was Juliet's first time there o.o
We changed clothes at her house.
Well, technically her condo's toilet.
Whatever.
Then Nic went to book the courts.
Had crazy fun badminton-ing and tennis-ing!
I totally suck at tennis :P
I think only Nic and Weiyi got it.
Natural talents.
Haha.
Then we gave up after...
1? 2? hours.
:P
And started gossiping AGAIN.
HAHA.
Until we couldn't stand the bright hot sun...
Then we went indoors and bought ice-creams.
YUM! :D
And then we gossiped AGAIN while eating ice-cream.
And when we finished, we went to play in the water.
Sounds childish, but so what XD
After that we went to play on the playground haha.
But that ain't your average playground.
It's actually much more challenging than a normal playground.
With mini rock climbing and twisted ladders...
Absolutely heartzxc the playground!
LOL.
Then we played in the water again...
Successfully persuaded Juliet to come in with us XD
We were fooling around when...
"Hey! There's a doggy up there!"
Someone said (can't rmb who), then everyone started cooing to the doggy lol.
Ah, but it was a cute lil' pup!
(At least, it looked like a pup.)
The poor doggy looked sad and lonely.
Wonder what happened? O.o
But the owner damn rich lah, got projector in the house O.O
Anyway.
Janis was like a bit pissed at us I think...
Isolated herself from us for a while.
Guess it was because we avoided her cos she was trying to push ppl into the pool?
But it's kinda her fault too.
After some persuasion, she came back with us...
And we gossiped. Again.
LOL.
Also took quite some pics (on facebook now, with Juliet).
And continued playing until...
The security guard came and said that we weren't allowed to play at the pool because it was meant for the younger kids -.-"

Apparently one resident complained.
Wth.
I mean, during the hours we were playing there, many ppl came and went.
Some even swam there.
So what's the problem?!
These people have nothing better to do lah.
So we went out of the pool.
And continued gossiping.
I SWEAR, THE WHOLE LITTLE FUN DAY OUT IS PRACTICALLY A GOSSIPING SESSION.
Lol, I mean it.
I won't post the contents of our gossip here, because:
1) I actually forgot quite a lot.
2) Not sure how some ppl would react.
3) It's embarrassing (do NOT ask.)
Anyway, we went home at around 5.40?
Probably meeting up on Fri... But nothing's confirmed.
We'll see.
So I hereby conclude the post-exam celebration cum gossiping session.

Irony at its best

There's this girl who complains (to me) that my friend doesn't return her friend money that she borrowed.
Today I found out that the complainer doesn't return money that she borrowed either.
A classic pot calling the kettle black.
I'm starting to doubt if my friend actually borrowed the money and not return or is she being framed.
After all, what I have is a one-sided story.
And you know what they say in history, it's not reliable!
LOL.
But still.
Irony like this happen everyday.
I don't just mean the money issue.
Many atime we say so-and-so has this issue, that-and-that cannot do such a thing, and so on.
But we fail to realise that we don't do it as well.
Or have the same issue.
And sometimes, because of our comments, we might hurt others' feelings.
Because if we face the same problem or fail to accomplish something, yet criticise others, isn't that being unfair to the person?
Moreover, are we in a position to criticise in the first place?
Maybe you'll think, yeah of course I am, I'm her good friend.
Still, that doesn't mean you shouldn't think about your comments first.
Because they may really hurt others.
Now, back to the money issue.
It's not a small amount.
(To both parties.)
I really think the money should be returned.
However I'm not the borrower or the lender, I can't really say anything.
So someone, please help.
PERSUADE the lender to ask for her money back (she's too weak and gets bullied by others, more easily than she thinks).
POLITELY ASK the borrower(s) to return money.
And let's hope for miracles, shall we?
And that, my friend, concludes history lesson #4 on reliability and literature lesson #5 on irony.

(Not that I use it alot nowdays anyway.)
So just a couple more entries, and I'm off.
Hmm, looks like the end-of-year robotic trip would come to fruition.
Mr Nathan just asked us to research on places that have competitions in the year-end.
But since we performed badly (in his opinion) during this year's NJRC, we have to take part in THREE competitions during the NOVEMBER holidays.
There goes my holiday plans.
Haha :X
Of course, more competitions = more points.
But I'm not that desperate for points until I want to sacrifice my holiday for competitions.
But Mr Nathan says that this is his 'damage control' for the NJRC.
Argh.
Oh well.
I'll just have to bear with it.
And hope we don't get to go to Brunei, Malaysia or China.
Everyone's hoping for Japan, Korea or Australia.
Haha :P
So I guess ppl will be spending their time on the favourited 3 countries.
And downplay the other 3.
However another point is that if we do get to go these countries, only a select number can go cos of the budget.
Not sure if Mr Nathan wants all sec 3s to go.
If so the rest of us (including me) probably don't stand a chance.
But if not I have a chance.
So we'll see.
(And quite honestly, I don't really give a damn. Been to Korea and Australia, done that.)
But it still looks like the year end holidays' going to be one hell of a time.

But the rejection was unexpectedly difficult to bear.
This just goes to show 2 things.
1) I expect too much. (Probably.)
2) I really wanted to go USA. (Most likely.)
But still, I missed animation.
Did it in primary school, but it was eons ago.
And during the animation course I really had fun.
I really like animation.
Of course someday I'll want to try again.
Maybe next year.
But I think we should just wait until then and then see how, right?

Since I was involved in the concert, I couldn't watch the parade.

My cca's costume was blah.
Not as nice as some other ccas.
No surprise that Art Club won the Clubs and Societies (what a joke, there are no more societies in Anderson anymore) segment.
So yeahh.

Here's the interesting part.
Went home to bath, then it was BBQ @ Costa Sands Resort (East Coast).
XDDDD
Food was yummy!
Fave: Bacon-wrapped golden mushroom (direct translation), mushroom tart? (only way to describe it), BBQ corn, BBQ chicken wings
Can't wait for tmr's BBQ!
(Yes, I get to go 2. Envious? Haha.)
Then I chatted with jies and kors.
Also played on Jess Jie's iPhone.
Owned Bejeweled, Tap Tap and Wheel of Fortune. XD
In the end I stayed over at the resort~~
Went to bed at about 2.30am or so.

I shall start my recounting of my adventures today now!

Today, Saturday, 7 August 2010
Woke up at about 5+ cos nanny was going to watch the sunrise.
Actually I wanted to go along but too lazy to get up :P
But anyway I'm kinda glad I didn't go, cos it was hazy.
Hehe.
Woke up again at 8 or so.
Too cold (aircon).
Went to the toilet, then back to sleep XD
Woke up again at 9.
Haha.
Breakfast was sandwiches~
Tuna rocks.
Also had half-boiled egg XD
Played a little while of Bejeweled (again).
Then it was home time cos I planned to go PunkToPink and the YOG Torch Relay.
Went to nanny's house to grab stuff like suitable clothes and my camera.
Then went home to bath and change clothes.
Took 72 to Yio Chu Kang interchange, then MRT to Somerset.
(PunkToPink was held at *SCAPE Youth Park, near Somerset MRT.)
Met Choon Guan on 72, stop after Hougang Point.
(Choon Guan's a junior from both Xinmin and Anderson. Too bad he doesn't remember me.)
Anyway.
After alighting at the MRT station, I exited first since CG (LOL, not centre of gravity!) went to consult the signboard.
Turns out he didn't know how to get to *SCAPE, since he got there way later than me.
Oh well, he could have asked for help.
As I exited the MRT station, I met Qinglin.
(Oh yeah, both QL and CG wore pink clothes. HAHA.)
QL's another 1 who doesn't know how to get there.
Ppl, there's something called Internet.
U guys could have gone and checked for directions on how to get there.

So I brought him to the *SCAPE park.
That ungrateful guy didn't even thank me.
Tsk.
I shouldn't help him next time.
After I reached there, the first thing I saw was my senior eating shaved ice.
She gave me some (I was only kidding, but she didn't care), and it was heavenly~~
Then I saw SK and Uma there.
They, along with Santhini and Hasif later, asked me why I came.
Well, here's the reasons (again):
1) Support my senior(s) setting up stalls there for cip.
2) Wanted to do something for charity (not that I haven't done so already).
3) Heard it was fun and wanted to join in.
Well, P2P failed.
The stalls there aren't really interesting.
Food was okay (shaved ice was great).
Drink was expensive so I didn't buy.
Games was a little lame.
I only liked the buy-a-ribbon-for-$2-and-get-1-free-Teenage-mag thingy.
So I bought (or spent $ on):
-A small plate of fried rice (80 cents)
-A tub of chocolate shaved ice with choc syrup and oreo topping ($3.50)
-A ball game (50 cents)
-A pink ribbon because I wanted the mag even though I already had 1 ribbon ($2)
Total: $6.80
The concert was alright (but if they could hire a medium-popular musician(s) it would have been better. The concert consisted of local -not so popular- bands, teachers and students singing, which probably didn't appeal to the public).
I didn't know Mr Fadzly could sing (until today).
Def have to pester him during the next Geog lesson XD
Afiq is quite a good singer too.
Betcha Uma was smitten XDD

I left about 1 hour later cos I had the YOG thingy.

Lots of AJC-ians came as spectators.
I think they had CIP like us.
They had A LOT more ppl than us.
Might as well just let them come and we can skip it.
They did all the cheering.
But the thing is, they were cheering at OUR school.
I know we both are Andersonians in a technical way, but it's not like our schools are affliated.
Lots of ppl felt that they invaded our school.
Haha.
Aiyo, ask us come at 4, the briefing was like at 4.30.
Spent 1/2 hr waiting.
The whole thing 5+ then start lor.
Quite waste time leh.
But it was def worth it.
Lots of police cars came by.
Oh yeah, 1 epic event:
2 PEOPLE WERE JAYWALKING IN FRONT OF A POLICE CAR.
How epic is that?!
Somehow, they didn't get prosecuted.
(Perhaps it's because they were auxiliary police.)
Anyway.
A few YOG buses came by before the 2 open-top buses came.
1st open-top bus was of Coca-Cola.
(Should be a main sponsor.)
As the bus came by, spectators got free coke XD
CIP points for easy event + free coke = best CIP event ever
(Also, it wasn't sunny, so we didn't sweat, which was even better.)
Oh yes, they also gave out something that you can blow into, like those kind of party thingy.
It was LOUD.
The sponsor for the 2nd open-top bus was Samsung, and it was blue compared to Coke's red bus.
And no, they didn't give free Samsung phones.
Finally, FINALLY, the torch came.
Woots!!!
Although we didn't recognise the runners.
Hey, I thought it was supposed to be Sean and Hidhir (not sure spelling)?
Don't think those ppl were replacements, didn't remember seeing them around.
No offense ppl, but I think Sean shouldn't be a runner.
He's a sec 1, they should find someone with more experience.
Like Jasper (of Wushu too, but a sec 3).
Okay, maybe a part of me just wants to see his (handsome) face.
LOL.
Jk lah.
But honestly, it shouldn't be Sean.
Hidhir is fine.
Oh well.
It has already happened, so I shan't care anymore.
Anyway.
The cheering was loud during the runners.
Like duh!
(And yes, I did take a video of the relay, which I'll upload on facebook.)
After the relay, the AJC-ians blew the loud thingy together.
It sounded like a choir of geese.
Noisy.
Then, we were dismissed at 6.
The whole thing dragged on longer than expected.
Like, an hour later.
I hope we can 2 hours' CIP points.
XD
We should, actually.
They wasted our time.

My day started out wrong.
Alarm clock didn't ring.
So I was late for school.
For the first time in my secondary school history.
(Well, actually there were some times when I was almost late, but due to a stroke of luck, I wasn't. Or maybe I was really late, but since I didn't get booked, I don't know whether I'm late or not.)
Had to endure a scolding from Major Chong :X
And sang the national anthem twice.
While (part of) the school watched on.
It was humiliating.
Ahhhhhh.
I was already not feeling well.
Had a bit of flu, body too heaty, ulcers in mouth, and stomach cramps.
Oh well.
Then afterwards was P.E.
And I realised I didn't bring my PE shirt.
Again.
So I kinda lied.
Said I had stomach cramps and couldn't go for PE.
(Well, I did had stomach cramps, but it wasn't so serious that I couldn't go for PE.)
Ahaha.
The rest of the day went okay.
Actually, not really.
It was great.
Haha.
Chi and Geog teacher not in school so we had a mini impromptu karaoke session.
By 'we', I meant me, SC, Shuai Ming, ML, Rachel and Siok Kheng.
It was fun XD
Then we played heart attack.
And did crazy things.
LOL.
Sometimes, life can change like that.
From a bad start to a rather good day.
So that's it.
NDP rehearsal dragged to 7.
Oh well.
Can't help it.
It was mostly boring.
But still bearable.

Rather uneventful day today too.
There wasn't much homework despite the long holidays.

Couldn't understand wth Ms Chen was talking about!
Ahhhh.
English:
-Does What I Believe count? Since Ms Tan didn't say anything about it.
-Movie/Book character essay draft (like I care. So bloody easy.)
Chinese:
-Lian Bi. (Haven't thought of topic. Guess I'll write about upcoming BBQ. Or NDP.)
Hist:
-Workbook pg 52, 53 and 54. (Finished 52, more than half done 53.)
-Chap 6 and 7 mindmap. (Like I care. Also bloody easy.)

-Gather materials. (Ahh. No idea where to get. I NEED PLASTIC BOTTLES! But it's due next Friday.)

-Cut transparency. (Note to self: GET A PENKNIFE THIS WEEKEND!!!)

Yippees!

Just remembered to check my email (which I always forget to do so).
Saw this email from my cca teacher.
Basically he's trying to organise an overseas trip to one or more countries to broaden our experiences, blah blah blah...
But my main points are:
1) He plans to choose a far away country because he said we got quite a bit of budget and wants to make the best use of it.
2) He wants Japan or Korea if possible.
3) He plans to have more sightseeing (more than 1 day if possible).
4) He doesn't plan for us to take part in competitions, more of looking at what competitions these countries have.
5) I suggested going to Korea to see this competition held in Busan cos it's nationally wide, but that "it'll boost our experiences and let us learn more about competitions held in other countries".
6) The worldwide competition to be held in Philippines is not very safe cos, well, u noe.
So...
Hopefully we can go Jap or Kor! XD
But here comes the cons...
1) Parents may not allow us to go so far without parental supervision (though there's teachers, but still, parents are parents).
2) The Philippines competition is worldwide after all, which means = more cca points even if we don't win.
3) Philippines is cheaper.
4) There may be some ppl who want to take part in comps instead of watching comps.
5) Not everyone will be able to go, only those that have "contributed to the cca". (Not sure whether I fall in that category anot.)
But my win-win solution is...
I suggested the Korea comp and the Philippines comp, and the good thing is that they are held on different months!
So if we have the budget, we can go to both!
Yippee!
Really hope I can go Korea!
(If I really do get to go, who's jealous?)

Went to watch Toy Story 3 with Dong Mei and Qiao Pei!!
Too bad Charmaine couldn't come :(
Before the movie me and DM went Mos Burgers to eat :D
Me: an Ebi Rice burger.
DM: a Chicken burger.
Yum!
So, let me do a mini review on TS3!
Synopsis: Andy is now 17 and college-bound, obviously no longer playing with his toys.
His mother makes him choose which toys to take to college, leave in attic and throw away.
After some thought, he chooses Cowboy Sheriff to take to college, and the rest to attic.
But the toys accidentally get thrown away.
At first they were at Sunnyside Daycare, and didn't want to leave.
Until they got abused by toddlers.
Then they decided to leave, but Head Toy Hughug? Bear doesn't allow.
Then obviously after many twists and turns, they return to Andy.
But he decides to donate them away.
Rating: 4/5
Plot was good, escape plan rather meticulous.
But the Jessie-Buzz Lightyear (Cowgirl-Astronaut) pairing was weird.
Should be Cowboy and Cowgirl wads...
Anyway!
After the movie we went walk walk :D
And we talked about You're Beautiful and JGS :DDDDDDDDD
Turns out QP watched the show alr too.
Ahh, I'm so slow ><

She thinks the show was nice too :D
I'm getting sidetracked...
So we thought of watching Eclipse (we'll see) and this Korean horror movie (definitely!) together.

But I found out that she was resigning...
Going to get a new teacher next month.

Next was dinner.
Since it was Father's Day Eve, me and nanny family went to Pizza Hut Sengkang.
The platter of side dishes was nice (:

Then they played on the kiddie rides.
