Inter-school Robotics Challenge 2010

Today I went for a robotics competition, held by ITE.
So I woke up at 6.30am,
Reached school at 7.20am.
Reporting time: 7.30am.
Leaving time to ITE @ MacPhearson: 7.45am.
Registration time: 9am.
End up?
Leaving time: 8.15am.
Tsk.
Bus uncle not punctual de.
Lucky reach at 8.45am.
Otherwise he die.
Anyway.
I was in the line tracing category.
Somehow we were the first group to go.
Maybe because it's "A"nderson.
Unfair lah.
But anyway.
Completed the track, but did not stop for 3 secs (as were the rules).
But because there were 20 teams,
and only 4 successful completes of the line track,
the judges decided to count reaching the ending point as completing the track.
So initially,
this whole thing was supposed to be judged by how far the robot travelled if it didn't complete the track.
And thus we were probably in 5th position or something.
But cos of this change,
WE GOT THIRD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIRD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Apparently we were fast enough.
Since Bukit Panjang also reached the end but did not stop.
But they didn't get into the top 8.
So sad for them.
And the 2 other teams in the Obstacle Race also won.
1 3rd place (we very destined to get 3rd), and 1 merit.
Which I think they got 4th.
Cos got 5 merit awards.
Then after merit awards is the top 3 position.
And 1 Anderson team was the last to be announced in the merit awards.
So I think they got 4th.
So very good alr!!
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BE GETTING THE TROPHY ON FRI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy 14th birthday to me!

LOL, hope nobody thinks I'm being a show off from my post title.
It's kinda scary being 14.
Suddenly the truth of being a Sec 2 comes bright and clear.
All along I have been living in a hazy world.
Where I was still a Sec 1.
Guess the fact that I'm 14 changes that.
Oh well.
Today I got a new bag (from all the dear jies and kors!),
2 cakes (!) from Jess Jie Jie,
pressies from Juliet, ML, SC, Weiyi and Nicole,
birthday wishes from lotsa ppl!

Friendship woes

"Friends are easy to make, but friendship is difficult to maintain"
That was what I told sc just now.
Isn't it a perfect phrase describing what has happened this few days?
________, we are all very tired.
Every one of us.
I don't know what "game" you are playing, but please stop.
Or at least tell us what's going on.
I'm tired of living in the unknown.
And so is everyone else.
What's the use of doing this?
When it just hurts everyone?
What is coming out of this?
Only pain, suffering, tears.
Is it nice to see everyone like this,
suffering because of you?
Please, just think.
We have all this projects coming on.
And not just that.
Our friendship is at stake here.
You were one of my first friends at Anderson.
I don't want to see my friends suffering.
Just because of a misunderstanding.
Is it worth it to forgo one year of friendship for something as minor as that?
I admit, we don't know you well.
We have no idea why you are like this.
Why you are so sensitive.
But we want to know.
We want to be able to understand you.
We want to be truly friends.
Will you give us the chance?

Nothing much to write.
Except haven't revised the damn geog.
Totally agree with Juliet.
Why the hell do we need to know the meanings of words we haven't learned IF WE HAVEN'T BEEN TAUGHT THAT CHAPTER??????

School is weird.
I really don't know how to do the damn art man.
I'm not the sort to turn in crap work.
But I seriously don't know...

Yesterday was my unlucky + lucky day.
Fell during Dog and Bones and scraped my elbow and knee.
Sigh.
But Bryonn Bain and group came to Anderson and performed for us!!!
So darn cool!
